THE AURORA PROJECT

The Aurora Project is a captivating photographic journey capturing the magical Northern Lights in the stunning landscapes of Scotland. Through this project, I aim to showcase the breathtaking beauty of this natural phenomenon, highlighting the vibrant colors and ethereal movements of the auroras against Scotland's dramatic backdrops. Each photograph tells a story of the night skies, inviting viewers to experience the wonder and awe of these celestial displays.

As I traverse the rugged terrain and serene lochs in the dark, I seek to connect with nature and share the mesmerizing sights that many have only dreamed of witnessing. Join me on this visual adventure as we explore the enchanting dance of the auroras in the heart of Scotland.

Lone Tree

ONE COMPOSITION PROJECT

I have initiated a captivating project to photograph a lone tree in Scotland under every conceivable weather condition. This project aims to capture the tree’s steadfast presence amidst the ever-changing Scottish weather, from the serene calm of a sunny day to the fierce gales of a winter storm. By maintaining the same composition for each photograph, I aim to highlight the tree’s resilience and the dynamic beauty of Scotland’s natural environment. Each image will tell a story of endurance and adaptation, showcasing how nature withstands and thrives despite the challenges posed by the elements.

The purpose of this project extends beyond mere visual documentation. I seek to underscore the importance of preserving Scotland’s natural landscapes. The lone tree serves as a powerful symbol of the broader ecosystem’s resilience and the need for conservation efforts. Through my work, I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world and a commitment to protecting it. My photographs remind us that, like the lone tree, Scotland’s nature is both fragile and strong, deserving of our respect and care to ensure its survival for future generations.

Lighthouse

THE LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT

I have embarked on an inspiring project to photograph every stone-built lighthouse in Scotland. This ambitious endeavor aims to highlight the remarkable craftsmanship and aesthetic beauty of these vital maritime structures. Each lighthouse, standing resilient against the rugged Scottish coastline, tells a story of architectural ingenuity and the enduring spirit of those who built them. Through my photography, I seek to capture the intricate details and unique character of each lighthouse, showcasing them as monuments of both historical and cultural significance.

In addition to celebrating the architectural splendor of these lighthouses, my project also pays tribute to the lighthouse keepers who dedicated their lives to maintaining these beacons of safety. These keepers played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of seafarers, often working in isolation and facing harsh weather conditions. By documenting these lighthouses, I aim to honors their legacy and reminds us of the vital role these structures have played in maritime history. My work serves as a poignant reminder of the human stories intertwined with these iconic landmarks, preserving their memory for future generations
